Name: Victoria Adekunle
Profile: A graduate of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan. A skilled wordsmith with full expression in various writing forms, music minister, hair care enthusiast and kingdompreneur.
Position: World-Class Team Lead
In her words:
The Side Hustle Portfolio Bootcamp has been an amazing experience. I have grown as a writer, a content creator, a digital marketer, a leader and most importantly as an individual.
Thank you for this opportunity. I registered for the Side Hustle Internship in the first week of April, 2022 and it has been a rollercoaster of learning since then. My experience will be shared in two perspectives as the team lead of Side Hustle Portfolio Team 4 and as an individual.
When I volunteered to be Team Lead, I didn't know what to expect. No one else wanted to do it and I was new to Slack. I didn't go through the pre-training other Team Leads were exposed to so I relied heavily on my training as a Leader in Church. At first, it seemed like a daunting task to get everyone together and on the same page. The first meeting we held had just 3 people in attendance besides myself. I even reported to @drey about it lol. However, things took a different turn once I started to apply some wisdom strategies I gained in prayer. Of all the tasks assigned to us, I'd say the first week was most enjoyable for me. Not because it was the simplest one but because the team work was through the roof…but boy was it stressful. From the onset, I knew I wanted to be World-Class so I shared this vision with the team and I thought it was really awesome to see them stretch to bring the vision to life.
As an individual, I grew and pushed myself as well as my team members beyond the limits. It was six weeks full of research, Canva, YouTube tutorial videos, PowerPoint presentation slides, social media classes, managing people with their unstable temperaments and varying needs, meeting deadlines, coming up with impactful content and unique ideas…it was a lot. Bear in mind that I still had a full life asides from Side Hustle Bootcamp. I learned time management, upped my communication skills, ability to work effectively under pressure, churn out good quality work in a short time, maintain relationships and give constructive feedback, carry out multiple projects at the same time without fainting but instead win at all...big check! 😂💪
At this point, I'd like to appreciate my Pastor, @PastorDrAkintaraAkinkuade for his words and for quality training, my close friend that sticks closer than a sister, @Tamarapreye for her invaluable contribution to the successful completion of this process, my wonderful parents @DeaconAdekunleAdeoti, @DeaconessChinyereAdeoti and siblings @Angela, @Elijah and @Blessing for their constant support and love throughout this period, my extraordinary team - @Lola, @DaddyOscar, @Aishah, @Susu, @Seyi, @Mayor, @Ruth and @Zaynab. You guys were and still are phenomenal. Don't stop now, your journey to greatness has only just begun. Finally, my warmest regards are to my mentor, @PeculiarRichard, @DamilareOyetade i.e. the famous @drey, @Garfield, @Funke and the entire team at Side Hustle Internship Nigeria for the fantastic work they do and how they're impacting so many lives one cohort at a time. To our ever loyal viewers, thank you. You can sign up for the next cohort here.
Till next time, bye!

In her words:
My friends and family always said I have a natural talent for writing and words. This, coupled with my passion made me pursue a career in Content Creation and Digital Marketing so I could continue honing the skill. My journey with Side Hustle so far has been a transformational one. I've unleashed a part of me I never knew existed, done things I never imagined I could do, and met amazing personalities who have been instrumental in my growth.
Truly, Side Hustle is a great blessing to me. I have long been searching for an internship opportunity to upscale my career in Content Creation and Side Hustle availed me of that opportunity. I enjoyed every bit of working with my team members and I love how much I've done for myself and how much I've grown. I'm glad because there's much more to achieve in the future. A special shout out to my indefatigable team lead and team members, thank you for being part of my journey for the past six weeks. My experience wouldn't be complete without your consistency and doggedness. I've learned a lot and wish you all the best in your endeavors.

Name: Susan Uzowanne
Profile: Area Sales Manager at MCPL, a graduate of Marketing from Imo State University, Owerri, 10 years experience in sales.
Position: World-Class Team Member
In her words:
I joined the Side Hustle cohort 5.0 internship to learn new skills in data analytics, digital marketing and content creation. My name is Susan O. Uzonwanne, and I am elated to be a part of this! In the beginning, it was tough because I was trying to merge work time with the internship classes. I needed this and I knew I had to push to get it….and so I did! I joined two tracks and for the Bootcamp, I tried to be active in both the startup and portfolio groups but….
I had the privilege of knowing and working with some extraordinary people. Top on my list is the amazing Victoria Adekunle, portfolio-digital-marketing and content-creation-team-4-lead. She has got the wits to push and pull team members. My team members are all so supportive and engaging, big ups to the team spirit.
The boot camp is supposed to run for six weeks and thankfully, this is the end of the sixth week! I'm positive about the ripple effect of this boot camp on the majority of us. At both the start-up and portfolio groups, I know we have a lot on our hands and that the end of this boot camp is surely the beginning of greater exploits! Thanks.
Name: Oyinlola Deborah Adegoke.
Profile: A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State where I studied English.
Position: World-Class Team Member
In her words:
I have always been surrounded by people who encourage personal growth and this mindset has helped me come out of my comfort zone. As a child, I would often listen, read, and watch people who can help me grow or become better at myself.
This love for growth led me to register for digital marketing and content creation courses at the side hustle internship. Dedicating my time, resources, and data to this program allowed me to fall in love with the career path and gave me the skills needed to begin working as a digital marketer and content creator. After the end of the internship, I registered for side hustle boot camp which has been challenging so far. The boot camp requires us to apply what we learned in the internship through real-world tasks and projects.
For every task we are given, I often spend a lot of time researching various tasks, using Google and YouTube as my main resources. I have become quite good at using Canva. I generally enjoy the challenge of answering each task and tailoring my technique to answer each task's needs. This is our final task and I am grateful to God to have made it through to the end of Side hustle Cohort 5.0.
However, this is not the end of my journey as a digital marketer and content creator. This is just the beginning. Be sure to keep an eye out for me as I am excited to share my passion as a digital marketer and content creator with everyone. As a digital marketer and content creator, I often find myself thinking about ways to engage my audience and stand out from the crowd. I pour my passion into every project, always seeking new and innovative ways to capture people's attention. Whether it's coming up with the perfect headline, crafting an elegant email campaign, or creating fascinating social media posts, I strive to deliver quality work that will make a lasting impression. It's what drives me to continue learning and growing in this ever-changing industry.
I want to give a big thank you to my team members. You all did an amazing job and I will miss our 9 pm meetings. We always came on board with great ideas and challenged ourselves to make our tasks stand out. You all never made team 4 portfolio Boot camp boring or frustrating. Everybody was ready to put in the work and contribute his or her part. I wish everybody the best of luck in their future endeavors. God bless you all!

Profile: A final year student at the Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. I'm studying biochemistry. I'm a lover of God and of people, and I'm always eager to learn.
Position: World-Class Team Member
In her words:
Exactly one month after the ASUU strike, I registered for Side Hustle digital marketing skills. I had no idea what to expect, but I knew I'd be fine at the end of it all, and I was. The first 6 weeks of learning were outstanding and mind-shifting for me. I've never been online (ie the internet and social media) and I haven't worked with so many apps as I've done in the last 12 weeks.
In the second 6 weeks, I registered for the portfolio boot camp with great enthusiasm, ready to apply the knowledge learnt to produce results. During this period, I met some super amazing personalities. First, in the learning session and also in the boot camp session. I've been challenged to diligence and excellence by this personality. I really didn't inculcate the attitude of staying up 4-6 hours researching one thing, but I started doing it in this boot camp. I discovered that it's not about what you don't know, but how ready you are to learn what you don't know.
My Google became my personal assistant, Canva became my creative tool, Google Doc became my jotter and diary, and WPS became my jotter and diary. WordPress became my new best friend and Slack became my lecture hall. During the boot camp, I found out more about Reddit, I discovered Spark traffic, and I also found new organizations and industries via Facebook and Instagram.
Words would fail me to show my appreciation to my awesome team leader, @VictoriaAdekunle, and her lovely assistant, @AishaAjetunmobi, for always coming through for us and the team. I also want to say a big thank you to my other team members: @SusanUzowanne, @SamuelChima, @ZaynabAdesina, @RuthAkindeko, @OyinlolaAdegoke, and @OluwaseyiAdewale. I hope I'm not missing out on anyone... Thank you so much, family. You're the best. My entire gratitude is to Side Hustle. Thank you so much. I've unlearned, learnt, and relearned. I've been made by this process. Thank you for this opportunity. You're part of my success story. With you, I can boast about being a digital marketer and content creator. Thank you, dear audience, for reading to the end.
Much affection Mayowa
